Miscellaneous Odd Issues

Often times, I find things that may not be a problem or an issue but are just different or weird. This makes my job interesting and fun. Even though I have been inspecting full time for years, I would never say "I’ve seen it all".

You can see in the area under the soffit where raccoons were getting into an attic.

Best not to poke this large wasp nest to see if it’s active.

This furry thing was discovered in a crawl space in Erieau.

Another old house. This is a hot and cold water mixing valve for the toilet water to prevent condensation on the water tank in the summer.

This round brick septic tank on an old rural property was still in use.

If you look carefully you can see this house was once a log cabin.

This 100 year old house had a built-in concrete safe

Skeletal remains are a common sight in crawl spaces.

This dirty hole under the eave was the first indication the attic was overrun by squirrels.

This is quite common where a starling tries to build a nest in a roof vent, but the straw falls in the attic and the birds don't give up.

This huge wasp nest was in a dark crawl space.
